Armenian musician will no longer support ARF Dashnaktsutyun – newspaper

YEREVAN. – Renowned Armenian musician Ruben Hakhverdyan supported the
current parliamentary opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party during all
National Assembly elections, and he even has songs dedicated to the
Party, Aravot daily writes.
`[But] In an interview with Aravot, Mr. Hakhverdyan stated he is [now]
rejecting ARF because: `At the time I saw [ARF Faction leader] Vahan
Hovhannisyan as the most intellectual man. Unfortunately, I do not
understand why Dashnaktsutyun took a `backward step.’ Now, I will not
be alongside any political force; we need new brains,’ Aravot writes.
