The Stepanakert Airport is ready and all it needs for operation is a
plane, Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ara Harutyunyan
said during a press-conference on Tuesday.
ArmInfo’s own correspondent in Stepanakert reports that recently
the Nagorno-Karabakh President visited Argentina, where businessman
Eduardo Eurnekian promised him that part of the $11mln he had donated
in the framework of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s recent telethon
would include a plane for the airport.
“So, in Mar-Apr 2011 we may start flying,” Harutyunyan said.
As was reported earlier, the Stepanakert Airport will be provided with
three SRJ-200 planes, each costing $15bln-16bln. The company will be
called Air Artsakh. The Stepanakert-Yerevan-Stepanakert ticket will
cost some $50-60.
