LONDON CHESS CLASSICS: VISWANATHAN ANAND DRAWS WITH LEVON ARONIAN

World Champion Viswanathan Anand’s hopes of catching up with his
rivals has almost ended after he played a draw with Levon Aronian of
Armenia in the seventh round of London Chess Classics on Sunday.

With his fourth draw in six games, Anand has seven points. In the
open section, national champion Abhijeet Gupta beat Gawain Jones of
England to jump into sole lead with seven points.
