ARMENIAN INFLATION SLOWS AS COST OF FOOD, CONSUMER GOODS EASES

slowed in November as the cost of food and other consumer goods eased.

Consumer prices rose to 4.8 percent from a year earlier compared
with 5.7 percent in October, the statistical service in the capital,
Yerevan, said today on its website. Prices advanced 1.2 percent from
the previous month.

Armenia’s government predicts inflation will slow further through
year-end after accelerating in February, Economy Minister Tigran
Davytyan said in a Nov. 29 interview in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital.
