US AMBASSADOR GETS ACQUAINTED WITH STRUCTURE OF NATURE PROTECTION MINISTRY

Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan met US Ambassador to
Armenia John Heffern. Press service of the Ministry reported that the
Minister presented to the US Ambassador the structure of the Ministry,
the prior directions and issues.
Aram Harutyunyan also presented to the Ambassador information about
protected territories in Armenia – reserves, national parks as well as
reported on the works carried out for the solution of Lake Sevan issue.
Highlighting cooperation with the USAID, the minister voiced hope
that hence the effective cooperation will continue.
The US Ambassador John Heffern expressed readiness for further
cooperation, noting that the meeting was the first step toward
effective work.
