Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan
held a meeting Nov. 4 with the newly appointed head of the Armenia
Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Mr. David Dole.
Minister Vardanyan congratulated Mr. Dole on his appointment and
expressed hope for deeper cooperation.
Minister Vardanyan presented the ADB-implemented road construction
programs in Armenia, particularly the North-South highway project,
as well as further plans. Minister Vardanyan informed Mr. Dole of the
successful completion of the ADB-funded rural road renovation project.
The sides also discussed the road maintenance problem, road design
and safety standards.
