ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: Rafidain Kurdistan Parliamentary Bloc MP said
that five Christian MPs, Armenian MP and Turkmen MP withdrew from
provinces law voting session in Kurdistan in protest for passing the
“unjust” law in regard to the minorities.

MP Salem Kako told Aswat al-Iraq that the law deprived our
representation in lower administrative units, which is “a regression
to democracy in Kurdistan”.

Kurdistan parliament voted today for the amendment of provinces
election law, in which two seats were given to the Christians,
according to “Quota” bases in Arbil and Duhuk provinces.
