EU WANTS TO BE MORE ACTIVE IN THE NK SETTLEMENT BUT IS AGAINST CHANGES IN THE NEGOTIATIONS FORMAT

Raul de Luzenberger stated today that the EU wants to take an active
part in settling conflicts including the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Speaking at the Center for European Studies, Raul de Luzenberger
said today that the desire is conditioned by several reasons,
Mediamax reports.
“The conflicts in the EU partner countries affect not only these
countries but the European Union as well. The conflict challenges
security and gives rise to migration flows as well as causes problems
for a transit of energy resources”, the head of the EU Delegation
noted.
According to him, Brussels supports the current format of negotiations
on settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and thinks that it shouldn’t
be changed. As Raul de Luzenberger noted the EU intends to contribute
to the Karabakh settlement through supporting the effort of the OSCE
Minsk Group and its Co-Chairmen.
