ARMENIA’S GROSS INTERNATIONAL RESERVES UP

By the end of this August, Armenia’s gross international reserves
had amounted to around US $2,007.6m against US $865.8m at the end of
last December.

The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reports that, of the reserves in
question (gross external reserves in terms of hard currency) special
drawing rights at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reached US
$16m at the end of this August against US $33.5m last December. Hard
currency reserves totaled US 1,991.5m against US $1,832.3m at the
end of last December.

During the period under review, Armenia had neither gold reserves
nor a position at the IMF.
