PanARMENIAN.Net – Deputy Director of Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan
is confident that the Eastern Partnership summit once again proved
the adherence of the international community to the process of Nagorno
Karabakh conflict resolution in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“Although the communique does not directly mention the Karabakh
conflict, it is certainly implied. The EaP is dealing with South
Caucasus countries, thus, the European Union will have to talk with
Artsakh sooner or later,” Minasyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Besides, he reminded of the recent statement by the OSCE MG Co-chairs,
who “will propose to all the parties additional measures aimed
at strengthening implementation of the ceasefire, improving the
atmosphere on the ground, and promoting understanding among peoples
of the region.”

“The international community acknowledged that the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict should be resolved though a referendum, which is one of the
key points in Madrid principles. Moreover, Armenia’s positive dynamics
in the negotiation process is noted,” Minasyan said.
