20TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIA’S INDEPENDENCE MARKED IN AUSTRIA

Palais Ferstel of Vienna hosted a solemn event to mark the 20th
anniversary of Armenia’s independence, attended by top Austrian
officials, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Vienna,
representatives of international organizations in Vienna, political
and cultural figures, members of the Armenian community.

Armenian Ambassador Ashot Hovakimyan delivered opening address. He
presented the achievements of Armenia in the 20 years of independence
and stressed that independence has been achieved at the price of fight,
great difficulties and sacrifices.

As part of the solemn event, a festive concert was held at Palais
Ferstel, with famous Armenian musicians performing.
