YEREVAN. – In honor of 2793 anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan foundation
“City of Craftsmen” on Wednesday opened its doors friendly on North
Avenue in the heart of the capital of Armenia.

Armenian king Argishti I, founder of Erebuni-Yerevan met the guests
in the “City.”

Yerevan was very famous for its blacksmithing, wood and stone carving,
as well as jewelry, knitting and leather craftsmen. North Avenue is
full of artifacts, which reflect also the craft traditions of the
ancient masters.

Armenian weavers showed the process of weaving a carpet. Armenian
carpets are differentiated by rich ornaments, bright and harmonized
colors.

Visitors could not only see the artifacts in the “City of Craftsmen”
but also purchase them. Students also participated in the exhibition
and painted pictures.

North Avenue has also book fair. Money will be donated to writer O.

Grigoryan who has been diagnosed with lung cancer and needs an
expensive surgery.
