Emigration appears to be the Armenia’s major disadvantage of the
post-independence period, says modern Armenian rock musician.
“It is not just a disadvantage; it is calamity,” Vahan Artsrini told
Tert.am on Monday, speaking about Armenia’s achievements and losses
since gaining independence.
“In the course of [the past] twenty years, we lost people not only
physically but also intellectually. That’s why we have what we have
now. Hearing my companions’ names on television I become happy, proud
and a little excited. The events this year seem to be well-organized.
We finally got rid of pop elements, having at last an occasion to
celebrate with good music,” he added.
