ARMENIAN TROOPS PARTICIPATE IN COMBAT COMMONWEALTH EXERCISE

Air force and air defense units of the armed forces of Armenia,
Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan are participating in joint
exercise at one of Russia’s ranges.

The units gathered for Combat Commonwealth tactical exercise to work
out joint activities during antiterrorist operations in the border
armed conflicts.

Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov and defense ministers of
the CIS states, as well as foreign military experts from Algeria,
India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Syria have arrived at Ashuluk range
to be present at the exercise, Interfax- Military news Agency reports.

New generation anti-aircraft S-400 weapon system is for the first
time used during the exercise.
