Martin Vardazaryan, conductor of the pops and symphony orchestra of the
Armenian TV and radio, believes it is time for holding international
Armenian music competitions in Armenia.
The country has serious potential for that, he said. At his Aug. 9
press conference, Vardazaryan proposed organizing an international
competition in Yerevan. According to him, relevant steps will be made
next year. Yervand Yerzinkyan, Artistic Director of the orchestra, said
that putting the idea into practice requires greater combined efforts.
