An Armenian church in the Turkish city of Iskenderun, Hatay province,
will have a priest after a nine-year break.

Holy Forty Martyrs of Sebastea Armenian Church was built back in 1827
and was closed for liturgies in 2002.

Father Avetis Tabashyan said he would take care of the Armenian
churches in Hatay and neighboring provinces, Aksam newspaper reports.

Last month Avetis Tabashyan was ordained as a priest by the Armenian
Patriarchate of Constantinople.
