Yerevan-Van charter flights have been highlighted during a meeting
between Armenian and Turkish businessmen and travel agencies.

Arsen Ghazaryan, the chairperson of the Union of Manufacturers and
Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia (UMB(E)A), said in news conference
today: “The flight is short, hence small jets will be used.”

Abdullah Tunjdemiri, Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council
member, said he is a co-author of the project to launch Yerevan-Van
charter flights. “We’re intended to make the airport of Van an
international airport, thus a new terminal is being constructed. The
first Yerevan-Van flight may be carried out on September 11,” A.
Tunjdemiri said.

“Armavia” and “AtlastJet” Turkish airlines are holding 2 flights in
a week from Istanbul and Trapizon to Yerevan. Flights from Antalia
and Bodrum are available in summer.
