ARMENIA RECOGNIZES INDEPENDENCE OF SOUTH SUDAN – MINISTER

Yerevan will recognize the independence of South Sudan, Armenian
Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian said.
“The proclamation of the independent state of South Sudan is the
fulfillment of the unalienable right of peoples to self-determination
and a new example of the civilized solution of conflicts,” the Armenian
Foreign Ministry quoted Nalbandian to Interfax.
Russian Presidential Envoy Mikhail Margelov handed over a message from
President Dmitry Medvedev to the South Sudanese leader on Saturday.
The message recognized the independence of South Sudan.
