PanARMENIAN.Net – New Jersey’s East Brunswick High School teacher
Robert Gangi says when it comes to studying the Holocaust the more
you learn, the more you find there is to learn, gmnews.com reports.

Gangi teaches a popular elective class entitled “Genocide and the
Modern World” at East Brunswick High School. The class delves into
some of examples of genocide in the 20th and 21st centuries including
the Armenian Genocide, Darfur, Rwanda and the Holocaust. The class
shows that genocide, unfortunately, is not a historic phenomenon or
something of the ancient past, he said.

“This is something that is still in our world today,” he said. “You
see this over and over again.”

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
