Tert.am asked Samvel Balasanyan, a vice speaker of the Armenian
parliament and a top member of the Prosperous Armenia party, to comment
on the Georgian ambassador’s statement that Armenian businessmen are
building a brewery in the town of Akhalkalak in Georgia’s Javakhk
region.
“The brewery is an American investment built by my advice and project,”
Balasanyan said. “The construction took a year and is over now.” He
added that it is set to start operations in September or October.
According to media reports, Balasanyan is a co-owner of the brewery
