Turkish ultra-nationalist Ogun Samast, who stands trial over
the assassination of Hrant Dink, the editor-in-chief of the
Armenian-Turkish weekly Agos, has shown up for a court hearing with
books about the journalist.

According to the Turkish TV channel NTV, Ogun brought two books with
him to the court session, one titled “There’s this Armenian: The
Codes of the Dink Operation~T by Adem Avuz Arslan, and the other ~V
“We did a Great Deal for This Homeland” by Shukran Pakkan).

The defendant, who stands a trial in an Istanbul court for juveniles,
claimed that Dink’s murder was not a prearranged plot and condemned
the Turkish media for targeting Dink.

The true culprits are the chiefs of Hurriyet and Vatan newspapers,
as well as journalist Emin Colacan who spurred anti-Armenian hatred.

The hearing was rescheduled until June 17.
