ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER INVITES HIS LATVIAN COUNTERPART TO YEREVAN

On March 9, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with
his Latvian counterpart Girts Valdis Kristovskis in Riga to discuss
further development of the Armenian-Latvian relations, specifically,
collaboration in international organizations, organization of
consultations between the two foreign ministries, economic cooperation
and cultural exchange.

Nalbandian and Kristovskis referred to EU-Armenia relations, as well
as opportunities for bilateral cooperation within the framework of
the European Neighborhood and Eastern Partnership.

At the request of the Latvian Foreign Minister, Nalbandian briefed
on recent processes in the Karabakh conflict settlement.

Mr. Nalbandian also noted that the official visit of the Armenian
President to Latvia, as well as the reached agreements between the
Presidents play an important role in the bilateral relations.

The Armenian Foreign Minister invited his Latvian counterpart to
visit Armenia, the RA MFA press service reported.
