Computer penetration in Armenian schools to be improved by yearend

On October 29, at the Students IT Award ceremony, Armenian President
Serzh Sargsyan emphasized the necessity of school computerization.

The President briefed ceremony participants on November-December 2010
computerization program to improve the level of computer penetration
in Armenian schools.

As the Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan stated, the
program provided tenfold increase in computer penetration. As he
noted, Armenian Ministry of Education is implementing computerization
project within the framework of World Bank crediting program.
