The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) is holding a rally
in Yerevan. Few people are attending the rally because of heavy rain.
The leaders of the ANC-forming parties have arrived. Among them are
Chairman of the Republic Party Aram Sargsyan, Chairman of the People’s
Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan, and the former military prosecutor
of Armenia Gagik Jhangiryan. The ANC leader, Armenia’s first president
Levon Ter-Petrosyan is participating as well.
The rally will focus on the political and economic consequences
of corruption in Armenia and ways of re-establishing democracy in
the country.
The ANC leader is expected to deliver a speech on corruption.
