On October 15, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the
Iranian delegation headed by Energy Minister Majid Namju.
The Premier stressed the energy sector in Armenia-Iran relations was
always of great importance and this will enable to improve bilateral
cooperation in new spheres, RA Governmental Informational and PR
department informed NEWS.am.
Mr. Namju conveyed Iranian President’s greetings to Tigran Sargsyan
and stressed Iran’s readiness to develop and foster relations with
Armenia, particularly in the sphere of energy. In this regard, the
officials discussed bilateral energy programs and made a point of
the construction of a hydro power plant in Meghri.
The sides attached significance of the development of state and
private sector, promotion of joint investments, particularly in the
fields of water management, road construction and telecommunication.
