IV INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL TO OPEN IN YEREVAN

The IV International Music Festival will be kicked off on Friday in
Armenian capital of Yerevan with ceremony of opening to be held in
the evening at the Aram Khachaturian Philharmonic Concert Hall. The
festival’s directors are Honored Person of Arts and Culture of Armenia
Eduard Topchian and a violoncellist Aleksandr Chaushian from Great
Britain.
The festival will feature world-known performers, musicians and
conductors from Germany, Britain, Italy, France, Austria, Russia,
Belgium, Japan and Armenia. Included in the cultural program are
works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Mozart and Shostakovich.
The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra will play works by Brahms and
Shostakovich under Eduard Topchian’s baton this evening at the
opening ceremony.
Within the framework of the festival, concerts in honor of Aleksandr
Haroutyunian and on the occasion of the Independence Day of Armenia
will be performed.
