SPARTAKIADA OF CIS ARMED FORCES STARTS IN SAINT PETERSBURG APRIL 21

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Spartakiada of the CIS armed forces dedicated to the
60-th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War will take place
in Saint Petersburg April 21-29. The competitions will be held in 6 sports –
free style wrestling, shooting, heavy athletics, weight lifting and
all-round competitions. National teams of the armed forces of Ukraine,
Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan will take part in
the Spartakiada. `The purpose of the event is to strengthen friendship
between the states, the people of which have defended the freedom and
independence’, the press service of the Sporting Army Club of the Leningrad
military okrug reported.
