In round eight of the Women’s Grand Prix, taking place in Nalchik,
Armenia’s Lilit Mkrtchian, who played with black, won over Baira
Kovanova; Elina Danielian played in draw with Qatar’s Zhu Chen.
Three tours before the end of the third round Russia’s Tatyana
Kosintseva, having scored 6.5 out of 8 points, remains at the top of
the table.
Round nine will be held on Wednesday.
