YEREVAN (YERKIR) – The organizers of Philip Kirkorov’s trip to Yerevan
officially announced on Thursday that the Russian singer’s concerts
have been cancelled.
The cancellation followed a public outrage organized by the ARF’s
Nikol Aghbalian Student Union, the Armenian Youth Federation and about
30 other youth organizations that cited the singer’s anti-Armenian
stance for their reason to protest his performance in Yerevan.
Nikol Aghbalian Student Organization and the AYF issued a statement
late on Thursday expressing their gratitude to the public and media
for the support in the action.
