TUMANYAN FAIRY TALE DAYS IN ARMENIA

On 4-10 September Armenia will organize the fifth puppet theatres
festival called "Day of Tumanyan’s Fairy Tales," the festival’s art
director Armen Safaryan.
According to Safaryan theatrical ensembles from 12 countries – among
them also Belgium, Hungary, Russia, Slovenia, Georgia – have already
claimed their participation, adding that year by year the number of
participants is getting bigger.
He also informed that the opening ceremony of the festival will
take place in Dsegh, the native village of the greatest Armenian
writer Hovhannes Tumanyan. In Yerevan a parade will take place with
the guests participating with the image of the characters Tumanyan
created in his fairy tales.
