Interfax-Ukraine Baku, March 15 – Karabakh Armenians will not be able
to join negotiations seeking a settlement in the Armenian-Azerbaijani
conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, special representative
of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Goran Lennmarker said in Baku
on Monday.
The negotiations held under the OSCE Minsk Group umbrella have a
certain format, and this is the way the negotiations must continue,
he said.
It is necessary to resolve the Karabakh conflict this year, Lennmarker
said.
The conflict has ongoing for a rather long time, and both sides have
claimed losses despite the ceasefire, he noted.
Lennmarker ruled out a military solution to the Karabakh conflict.
There can be no military solution of any conflict, including the
Karabakh one, he noted.
