US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, Turkish Prime Minister Recep
Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met
recently during the US-Islamic World Forum in Doha, Qatar.
Among other issues such as the fight against terrorism, Cyprus, Middle
East, Iran, and Iraq, the parties also discussed the Turkey-Armenia
rapprochement process.
Erdogan spoke about the Armenian Constitutional Court ruling on the
Armenia¬-Turkey Protocols, saying that it slowed down the process
and brought forth a few complications.
According to Turkey’s PM, Ankara considers the Armenia-Turkish
normalization as part of a comprehensive settlement of issues in the
South Caucasus.
Erdogan also cited, in this issue, the necessity of propelling the
OSCE Minsk Group’s efforts forward.
