Armenia’s smoking rate runs down

13:49 / 02/06/2010Last year, production volume of cigarettes in
Armenia increased by 6.21% as compared with 2008, making 3.310bn, RA
National Statistical Service reports.

Meanwhile, according to RA State Revenue service, the import of
tobacco products to Armenia in 2009 reduced by 32% making 2.122bn,
whereas the export increased by 6.57%.

Overall, in 2008 Armenian manufacturers sold 5.709bn cigarettes,
whereas in 2009 ` 4.864bn cigarettes (14.8% less), Business 24 website
