OSCE monitoring scheduled December 15 in the southeast of
NKR-Azerbaijan armed forces’ contact line was suspended due to a
single-shot fire with automatic arm in the monitoring group being on
the Karabakhi defense position.

The incident occurred as Azerbaijani side did not bring out OSCE
monitoring group members to its front line, thus breaching the
preliminary agreement, NKR Foreign Ministry informed NEWS.am.

Firing was registered by monitoring group members – OSCE office
coordinator Imre Palatinus (Hungary), OSCE Chairman-in-Office Personal
Representative Field Assistants Irji Aberle (Czech Republic) and
Vladimir Chountulov (Bulgaria) who decided to suspend monitoring for
reasons of safety.
