Head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Bureau’s Hay
Dat and Political Affairs Office Kiro Manoyan declared today that by
presenting an Armenian Genocide Resolution to the US Senate, Robert
Menendez and John Ensign expressed their protest to the creation of
a subcommittee on discussion of historical issues.
According to Kiro Manoyan, this is also a pressure on the White House
to make the Obama Administration separate the issue of the Armenian
Genocide from the Armenia-Turkey relations. According to him, the
Armenian Parliament should not ratify the documents, while Turkey will
ratify them by April 24 only in case Armenia and Azerbaijan agree on
the basic principles of the Karabakh settlement.
