HRAYR KARAPETIAN ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF NA STANDING COMMITTEE ON DEFENCE, NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTERNAL AFFAIRS

YEREVAN, JUNE 8, NOYAN TAPAN. On June 8, the RA National Assembly
by secret ballot elected ARFD faction member Hrayr Karapetian as
Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defence, National Security
and Internal Affairs. H. Karapetian headed the same committee at the
NA of the previous convocation.
According to Ad-hoc Calculation Commission Chairman Gagik Melikian,
95 of 131 NA deputies took part in voting. 91 deputies voted for the
only candidate, 3 against. One ballot paper was invalidated.
