/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The main idea of the Armenian-Turkish agreement
on road map is that normalization of relations should proceed
simultaneously with the Karabakh conflict settlement process but
independently of it, a Turkish professor said.
"Opening of the Armenian-Turkish border is not linked to Karabakh
conflict resolution," Mustafa Aydin, professor of international
relations department at Tobb University of Economics and Technology,
Ankara, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
As to Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Azerbaijan,
prof. Aydin said it was a PR move.
"Actually, Turkish PM visited Baku to negotiate some energy issues,
specifically Nabucco project ands Azeri gas price. I think that if
Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani relations are normalized,
Armenia will become a full-fledged member of Nabucco project," he said.
