07-01-2009 04:37:31
The next meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents may take
place in late January, Matthew Bryza, US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk
Group (MG) brokering a settlement to the Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh
conflict, has said.
Bryza told a Baku-based TV channel that the MG mediators would visit
the region within the next two weeks to set the date of the
meeting. The basic principles adopted during peace talks will be
discussed during the visit as well.
Bryza did not rule out a meeting of the two countries` foreign
ministers in February. He said meetings between the two presidents
would move forward the talks on finding a solution to the
long-standing dispute.
