People on the territory of the police station seized by gunmen have been supplied with necessary food and medicine, the Armenian National Security Service reports.
One more hostage has been released as a result of negotiations, the NSS said. It added, however, that the encouraging episodes do not yet guarantee the desired outcome and possible tragic consequences are not excluded.
The statement says the initiators of the attack will be fully responsible for the consequences.
“The terrorists should realize that they have no alternative other than unconditionally implementing all demands of the authorities,” the NSS said.
The Armenian law-enforcement bodies hope that members of the armed group will be guided exceptionally by good sense, when making decisions.
