MANAKI TO HONOR MOSFILM BOSS SHAKHNAZAROV TO RECEIVE GOLDEN CAMERA 300

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENIANS TODAY – NOYAN TAPAN. The head of
Russia’s top moviemaking complex, Mosfilm Studios, Karen Shakhnazarov
is to be honored with a lifetime achievement award at Macedonia’s
29th International Cinematographers’ Film Festival Manaki Brothers.,
The director will receive a special Golden Camera 300 award at the
festival, which runs September 27-October 3 in Skopje.

K. Shakhnazarov, one of Russia’s top directors who has headed Mosfilm
since 1998. Shakhnazarov, 56, has a career stretching back to the
mid-1970s. His latest film "The Vanished Empire" will be screened at
the festival.
