Armenia assumes CSTO presidency

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenia has assumed presidency in the Collective
Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
`One of the most important outcomes of the session is a unanimous
position on the situation in Caucasus,’ Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev told a news conference.
`All the member countries condemned Georgia’s aggression against South
Ossetia and supported Russia’s counterblow,’ he said. `Russia stands
for political and diplomatic resolution of all conflicts but it will
firmly defend its interests.’
For his part, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said, `We are all
members of this Organization and we must strengthen our military
cooperation and coordinate activities.’
