ArmInfo. ‘The attempts are taken to turn intention of ARFD to
organize protest actions at the day of Abdullah Gul’s arrival into
provocations’, – representative of ARFD Supreme Body Armen Rustamyan
said at today’s press-conference in National Press Club.
He also added ARF Dashnaktiutyun is not at all going to protest against
arrival of the Turkish president to Armenia. ‘The main purpose of
our protest is to emphasize once again the problem of international
recognition of the Armenian genocide. Security of Armenia is not
ensured without recognition of the genocide’, – Rustamyan said and
added that all the ARFD structures are charged not to give way to
provocations and be watchful. ‘On 6 September, at the airport we
shall present our demands to Turkey’s president. A big mob will be
waiting for him. We should visit the memorial to the victims of the
Armenian genocide before the beginning of the football match between
the national teams of Armenia and Turkey…I am calling our people
to join us’, – Rustamyan said. ‘If we receive Gul calmly without
any actions, Turkey will not understand us. In that case we shall
find ourselves under the Turkish anti-Armenian propaganda. Everybody
should understand, this is first of all our dignity’, – he said and
added that an intention to hold actions was discussed with Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan.
