Armenian Foreign Ministry concerned at situation in Georgia

Yerevan, 9 August: The Armenian Foreign Ministry regrets deeply over
the numerous casualties during the recent developments in Georgia.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry department for information and media
reports that no Armenian citizen, who are currently in Georgia, has
suffered as of 1700 [1200 gmt] on 9 August, Arminfo reported.

The Armenian consulate general in Batumi organized the return of 250
Armenian citizens to the country today. A convoy is being accompanied
by the Georgian policemen. The Armenian Foreign Ministry’s department
on information and media has been put on duty.
