The Armenian authorities are so afraid of the opposition’s actions
that they descend to arrange a bargain on sanctioning the rally,
member of the oppositional All-National Movement Levon Zurabyan said
at today’s press-conference in "Urbat" club.
He also said that the All-National Movement applied to Yerevan Mayor’s
Office in a statutory order concerning organization of a rally on
August 1.
‘It is astonishing but a top official of the capital administration
arranged an elementary bargain in the talk with the Movement’s
representative Artak Zeynalyan saying "we permit you to hold a rally
near Matenadaran and you refuse from procession" , Zurabyan said. In
view of this, he expressed confidence that the municipal authorities
are very much afraid of such a powerful political action as procession
and try to prevent it in any possible way. L. Zurabyan added that
August 1 rally will be held despite any bans, and if before that,
RA President Serzh Sargsyan does not fulfill the ultimatum delivered
to him by Levon Ter-Petrosyan,
