Thanks to a tip from Newton’s David Boyajian, I just confirmed that
the Massachusetts Municipal Association has severed ties with the
"No Place for Hate" anti-bias program.
We’ll have more details later…
This is big news because the Municipal Association was co-sponsor
of the anti-bigotry program with the Anti-Defamation League. Twelve
cities and towns had already cut ties with "No Place for Hate" over
the ADL’s stance toward the Armenian Genocide – namely refusing to
forthrightly call it a genocide. Residents and politicians had called
on the MMA to distance itself from "No Place for Hate."
