China backs the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Liu Yunshan, head
of the Publicity Department of the CCP Central Committee, said at a
meeting with Azerbaijani Speaker Murtuz Alasgarov in Baku on 9
October.
Every state has a duty to defend its territorial integrity,
international organizations should therefore support Azerbaijan’s just
position on the Nagornyy Karabakh problem and achieve a speedy
resolution of the conflict, he said.
In turn, Alasgarov accused the international organizations of dragging
out a peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict for
more than 10 years. We think that the [OSCE] Minsk Group has failed to
fulfil its task, he said.
