YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. The RF Embassy in Armenia has no
information on the whereabouts of Armenia’s ex-president Levon
Ter-Petrosyan in Russia.
The RF Embassy in Armenia refers mass media to the RIA Novosti News
Agency (Russia). In its turn, referring to a source close to the RF
Government, RIA Novosti reports that Russian high-ranking officials
did not hold any meetings with the opposition presidential candidate
Levon Tar-Petrosyan, who visited Moscow this week.
Referring to the election staff of Ter-Petrosyan, the Komersant
newspaper (Russia) reports that Armenia’s ex-president was received
by RF First Vice-Premier and presidential candidate Dmitry Medvedev
in Moscow.
No representative of the Russian authorities held a meeting with
Ter-Petrosyan. Leonid Gozman, Vice-Chairman of the Political Council
of the Union of Right-Wing Forces, was the "highest-level" person
that met with Ter-Petrosyan.
The presidential election is to be held in Armenia on February 19.
