ACCORDING TO VAHAN HOVHANNISIAN, SECOND PRE-ELECTORAL POLE ALREADY FORMED

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, NOYAN TAPAN. In the conviction of Vahan
Hovhannisian, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation
Bureau and a nominated candidate running for the post of the RA
President, irrespective of the fact that certain political figures
and commentators deny the probability of the creation of a second
pre-electoral pole in the interpolitical field, it has already been
formed. As he declared at the press conference held on December
13, the Dashnaktsutiun have calculated their own opportunities for
winning in the forthcoming elections and have come to the conviction
that their "chances are more than real." In response to the question
of what propaganda methods the ARF Dashnaktsutiun will apply during
the pre-electoral period, Vahan Hovhannisian said that their tactics
is still a secret and promised that "great surprises are expected"
for everybody from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation on the days
of the official electoral campaign.
He added that irrespective of the results of the elections, the members
of the Dashnaktsutiun will continue to cooperate with the Republican
Party of Armenia. "How can we not cooperate with the force, which
has made a parliamentarian majority," Vahan Hovhannisian hesitated.
