Russian gas deliveries to Armenia up 4% in 11 mths
Russia delivered 1.7827 billion cubic meters of natural gas to
Armenia in the first 11 months of the year, 3.9% more than in the
same period a year earlier, the ArmRosgazprom company reported.
A total of 1.6087 billion cubic meters were sold, including 359.7
million cubic meters (mcm) to industrial consumers, 434.2 mcm to
households, and 446.4 mcm to the power generation sector.
Armenian-Russia ArmRosgazprom is the monopoly supplier of gas to
Armenia. The company’s shareholders are Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) with
57.59%, Armenia with 34.7% and Itera (RTS: ITER) with 7.71%.
Armenia pays $110 per 1,000 cubic meters for Russian gas. The price
has been effective since January 1, 2006.
