PARK NAMED AFTER REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA OPENED AT ARGENTINEAN NEUKEN

Recently a park after Republic of Armenia has opened at Neuken town of
Argentinean Patagonia. Armenian foreign ministry press and information
department informs that Vladimir Karmirshalyan, Armenian ambassador
to Argentina made a speech during the opening ceremony. The mayor of
Neuken Horasio Kiroga also delivered a speech. Some 30 Armenians living
in different areas of Patagonia were present at the ceremony. Armenian
dance group closed the ceremony with a dance performance.

According to the source, Ambassador Vladimir Karmirshalyan and the
mayor of Chipolet, a town not far from the town of Neuken, opened a
memorial stone dedicated to the victims of the Armenian genocide. The
ceremony was attended by a small number of Armenians living in the
area. City authorities, public organization representatives and
reporters were also present at the ceremony.
